Posted October 22, 2008- According to Us Weekly, reps from Lil Wayne’s camp have confirmed that Weezy is now the proud parent of a healthy baby boy. Wayne confirmed with the world that he was expecting a new child this past weekend at the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, GA stating, "I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me," while accepting accolades for Lyricist of the Year.

Dwayne Carter III was born today, (October 22) at Cincinnati's, Christ Hospital. Wayne, who already fathers an 8 year-old girl, Reginae Carter, with high school sweetheart, Antonia "Toya" Johnson, has yet to confirm the identity of his son’s birth mother.

Wayne, who was nominated for 12 awards at this year’s Hip Hop Awards, is also expected to release a revamped version to his double platinum effort, The Carter 3 before years end. Weezy told MTV of the newly renovated set, “I think we're gonna release Tha Carter III — a new Carter III with none of the same songs, though. None of them. Not one! We don't wanna call the [next album] we got coming out Tha Carter IV. That was the dilemma we were in. We want Carter IV to be what everybody wants it to be. This is something brand-new, so we don't want it to be some experimental thing, 'cause some people are not gonna like this. I don't want them to not like Tha Carter IV. But I do have an album coming soon, very soon, and it's gonna be called ... Tha Carter III: The Rebirth. The birth of a new beginning."
