Jim Jones recognizes the power of the youth. And if you haven't noticed by now, just turn on your local radio station or the 106 & Park daily countdown and you'll surely observethe evidence.

As always, Harlem, NYhas formed yet another Hip-Hop bond that's takenthe industry by storm. DJ Webstar's infectious solo cut, "Dancin On Me", which is currently sweeping through nightclubs throughout the country, is not only climbing every Billboard chart in existence, but has also sparked a light bulb in the head of the song's key feature guest, Jim Jones to conjure up the idea of aduet album.

But before plans were even birthed, neither Jones nor Webstar had any idea the tune would take off like it did. Webstar explained to BET.com, "I didn’t know what to expect when I put the record out- I wasn’t expecting a big response. The response got so big, especially after Jim got on there. That basically took it to an entirely different level.”

Jimmy added, "Webstar had a smash song on the radio and I kept thinking like, ‘Damn, it’s a Harlem thing going on’. I called him up and jumped on the record with him and the song ended up doing things we couldn’t imagine."

With allthat said, Jimmy decideda joint project entitled, "Rooftop" would not onlyenhance Webstar's brand, but also toss himsome leverage when it came time to discuss plans for his soloproject.

Jones offered, "We thought of different ways to make Webstar bigger than he already is. I told him if we did a duet album together, it wouldn’t be a discredit to him, it would only help build his brand which in turn will get him more money when he does his solo album."

Aside from having one of the biggest records heading into the summer season, Webstar and Jimmy for that matter, are still fighting off a slew of hip hop critics whoassert their choice of music isn't representing hip hop in its truest form. While Jimmy'sused to the banter and channels it in a humorous manner, Webstar offers a diplomatic response revealing at the end of the day its allin good fun.

"I’m just here to have fun and make some music,"Webstarsaid with a smile."I’m not trying to be the best rapper in the world; I’m just trying to do what I have to do. Jim and I, we’re just here making music and trying to have fun.”

And after the duet fun with Jimmy, Webstar is aiming to have some solo fun at the top of next year. "Right now I’m just focused on the album Jim and I are putting together," Webstar offered. "After that’s released, I’ll probably release my solo project around the top of 2010.”

As for Webstar's mentor, the Dip Set captain is gearing up to lay down material for his fifth solo LP. And though details are scarce for the new set, Jones promises the process will be a memorable one. Says Jones, "I’m about to take a trip back into the lab and start my infamous recording process that I’m known for, so look forward to that.”

At press time Jimmy and Webstar's, "Rooftop" collaboration has yet to ****** a confirmed release date.

I think that the Dancing on me joint sounds to me like something I heard before. I am only speaking for Adrienne when I say none of this new era hip hop is even hip hop. You want the real....take it back to the 90's.
